Construction Industry Consultants to present insights to hundreds of Meridian customers

(August 28, 2002) Meridian Project Systems (Meridian), a leading software and application service provider of project management solutions, today announced the keynote speakers for the 6th Annual Meridian International Users Conference, taking place next month in Sacramento, Calif. This year, Meridian will feature Gretchen Gagel McComb, Director of Owner Services at FMI Corporation, and Dr. Philip E. Geiger, President of The Eastridge Companies. Ms. McComb and Dr. Geiger will present during the opening general session on Thursday morning, September 19, from 8:30AM to 10:45AM.

Gretchen Gagel McComb
Ms. McComb is currently Director of the Owner Services Group at FMI Corporation,
the nation's largest provider of management consulting, training and capital
services to the worldwide construction industry. Founded in 1953, FMI
provides services in the areas of strategic planning, organizational development,
marketing, sales, and business development. Ms. McComb works closely with
purchasers of design, construction, and facilities-maintenance services
to enhance the value they receive. In addition to consulting, she has
published several industry articles. McComb's keynote topic will be "Owner
Firms and Their Service Providers: Embracing Technology to Stay Competitive."
Dr. Philip E. Geiger
Currently president of The Eastridge Companies ("TEC"), Dr.
Geiger has more than 35 years experience in public and private education.
His background includes direct responsibility for the planning, design,
funding, construction and completion of over 60 new school facility projects
around the country. He has managed more than 2,000 large-scale modernization
and renovation projects, and received numerous honors including Engineering
News Record's 2002 Newsmaker Award. Prior to joining TEC, he served as
Executive Director of the Arizona School Facilities Board. Dr. Geiger
will speak on: "Public Sector needs for Technology: A Case Study
on Arizona School Facilities Board."
