Meridian Project Systems Announces 7th Annual International User Conference
2003 event marks a decade of Project Management Software development
FOLSOM, Calif. (Feb 25, 2003) - Meridian Project Systems® (Meridian), a leading software and application service provider of project management solutions, will hold its 7th annual International User Conference, A Decade of Innovation, at Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev., on October 1-3, 2003.
This year’s conference celebrates the company’s 10th year of creating innovative project management solutions for Fortune 500 corporations, government agencies, manufacturers, real estate developers, technology companies and AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) firms.
“Our user conferences give our diverse customer base an opportunity to learn more about Meridian solutions and how they fit into their specific business practices,” said John Bodrozic, Meridian president and cofounder. “We tailor our conference program to the topics requested by past attendees, create track sessions for executives, IT staff, and end users and enlist experienced customers and knowledgeable Meridian product management and professional service staff to lead training sessions,” said Bodrozic.
The 2003 conference marks 10 years of Meridian success; some of these milestones include:
- 1993 - Cofounders John Bodrozic and Dave Towert form Meridian to bridge the gap in technology to streamline and improve the construction process. The two pair their expertise - Towert writing software and Bodrozic handling marketing and sales - to design their flagship product Prolog®.
- 1994 – With growing employee and customer bases, Meridian ships Prolog 1.0 to solid industry praise.
- 1997 –Meridian hosts its first International User Conference bringing together users Bovis Lend Lease, Gilbane, McCarthy Construction, Perini Building Company, The Weitz Company, Walsh Construction, and many others.
- 1999 – Meridian expands its Prolog product line with collaboration, data and site management solutions. The company enjoys revenue growth of 64%.
- 2000 - Meridian launches ProjectTalk, its application service provider (ASP) solution designed to bring project teams together in the web environment. Meridian opens a new corporate headquarters and debuts on the INC 500 Fast Growing Company list ranking at #56.
- 2001 - Meridian unveils Prolog Scheduler, and its European headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany. INC 500 once again ranks Meridian as one of the nation’s fastest growing companies.
- 2002 - Meridian announces solution standardization by several Fortune 500 and AEC industry leaders, the launch of customized project management service TurnerTalk.com for the Turner Corporation, and arrival of new CEO Jim Olsen.
- 2003 – With landmark business agreements in place, Meridian ranks as the market share leader in project management software used by general contractors over $250 million in revenue. Meridian is also the market share leader in project collaboration software for all contractor types over $250 million in revenue. *
Last year’s user conference drew record attendance and more than 40 customers participating as track session presenters. Conference attendees benefited from long-time user knowledge on solution deployments, various Prolog modules, internal IT support, product integration and other senior executive business topics.
“With a record number of participating sponsors, and more than 85% of attendees indicating their return to this year's conference, we feel our conference format provides a compelling event for our user community," said Bodrozic.
A Decade of Innovation is a full 3-day program that will include a combination of training, information on the Meridian product vision, and vital networking opportunities with other solution users and Meridian staff.
