Meridian Announces New Management Appointments
Meridian Project Systems appoints Business Development Senior Director and AEC Field Sales Director
FOLSOM, Calif. (February 5, 2004) — Meridian Project Systems® (Meridian), a leading provider of project management software and ASP solutions, announces the appointment of Mark Breunig as its Senior Director of Business Development, and Geene Alhady as its AEC Field Sales Director.
Meridian provides the most comprehensive solution portfolio for today’s diverse marketplace. Its AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) industry standards Prolog® Application Suite and ProjectTalk® were joined last year by Proliance®, the first Business Process Management (BPM) solution for global enterprises who design, procure, construct and maintain large capital construction programs. Meridian' management appointments support its continued expansion into multiple markets.

Breunig comes to Meridian with a 20-year track record of business development, legal and channel sales experience. Prior to coming to Meridian, Breunig developed extensive skill in relationship-building with PerformanceRetail, a global leader in retail automation software solutions. As the company's general legal counsel and director of partner programs & business development, Breunig negotiated and implemented a number of key strategic alliances with top-tier software and hardware vendors and integrators. As director of business development at Acuity Corporation, Breunig signed and managed more than 14 strategic alliances critical to the company’s successful IPO in 2000. Prior to that, Breunig ran the Worldwide Channel Alliance Program for Objective Systems Integrators, Inc. (NASDAQ: OSII), managing 16 key partnerships responsible for more than $20 million in OSI annual revenue. Breunig obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Financial Management from California State University, Long Beach, and is licensed to practice law in the state of California.
An Meridian veteran, Geene Alhady will continue seasoned sales leadership in his new position. “The combination of Geene's industry experience with ENR-ranked McCarthy Building Co. has been vital to his success,” said Al Marshall, Meridian vice president of sales. “His proven track record in growing Meridian' customer base will allow him to further expand Meridian' long-standing presence in the AEC industry."
Alhady has managed Meridian sales departments since 1998. He transitioned the direct sales department from regional sales representatives to nationally-focused account managers. Alhady developed relationships with Fluor Corporation and other ENR Top 25 ranked AEC firms, as well as the Dallas Fort Worth Airport. As Meridian Channel Manager, Alhady more than doubled channel revenue from the previous year. Prior to joining the Meridian team, Alhady served McCarthy for nearly a decade as a project engineer and project manager. Alhady holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from California State University, Chico.
